HIGHLIGHTS OF 2018 (SO FAR)

Camp Baco Highlights of 2018 (so far)

1) 16’s Champs!

First, Baco’s 16 and under roller hockey team shut out Brant Lake Camp 3-0 in an exciting night game at the Baco Hockey Rink. As if that wasn’t exciting enough, Baco’s 16’s basketball team took home the hardware at Camp Echo Lake, making a miraculous come back in the 4th quarter to win it all, and run into an ecstatic Baco dining room with first place trophies for the first time in 10 years.

2) Army Navy Day

On Sunday, the waiters led a day full of competition and fun activities for a one day color war. Although Army came out victorious at the end of the day, we all felt like winners eating ice cream on the terrace after the sing.

3) King of the Mountain

To battle the recent heat, campers are cooling off by dipping in the lake and climbing the new king of the mountain water slide in the deep end! The new massive climbing wall/water slide adds a whole new dimension to the already amazing water front, and everyone can’t get enough of it!

4) The 4th of July!

Baco and Che-Na-Wah had their fist all camp social of the year at the Che-Na-Wah boardwalk for the 4th of July talent show. Everyone danced and listened to their friends show their skills on stage while the sun set beautifully over the mountains in the background.

Overall, camp is on fire and we can’t wait to see what the next week weeks have in store!

Highlights of Camp Che-Na-Wah (so far)

1) Penn/Cornell

Last Sunday, bunk 22 led the camp in competitive activities and sing for our first single-day color war. Penn’s Musical Movements won the sing competition and Cornell’s opening night won competition.

2) Swim Meet Victory

Che-Na-Wah took home a record of ribbons at the Echo Lake swim meet in strokes including butterfly back, breast , and front crawl. Special shoutout to Bunk 4 camper Alex Siegel for a total of 7 ribbons.

3) King of the Mountain

Both Baco and Che-Na-Wah have an exciting new toy in the deep ends of the lake. King of the Mountain, a 4-sided climbing wall and slide is now the source of immense fun and laughter.

4) 4th July Talent Show

Che-Na-Wah Girls and Baco Boys performed in our annual 4th of July talent show. Campers played drums, guitar, bass as well as sang and danced in front of a co-ed audience.

5) Che-Na-Wah Invitational

Che-Na-Wah hosted Point-O-Pines Forest Lake, and Camp Adirondack in our intercamp tournament. Grades 7-10 age girls participated in an awesome tournament.

Summer 2018 is off to an amazing start – we can’t wait for what’s in store!
